The publication of Alhadid newspaper is divided into two periods: The first period: It was published under the directorship of Seiyed Hossein Khan Edalat, the director of Edalat newspaper in 1897 in Tabriz. It was a weekly newspaper and as Tarbiat said, in all it was issued three times and then was suspended.
The second period: In july 1905 it was published again by the directorwhip of Mohammad Shabestari and so it began its second period.
Its first and second issues were published in four pages and medium size by livid print at printing-house of Azarbaijan's Armenians Caliphet council in Tabriz and it was circulated on Thursday July 5, 1905. This newspaper was published and circulated twice a week on Monday and Wednesday.
The provisions for yearly subscription: " It is given 15 kerans reduction for old fashioned primary schools, schools in Tabriz, and in other states of Iran it is 18 kerans, and in Russian states 3 Menat and in all foreign countries 10 Francs, the price of advertisements is 10 Shahi per line and the subscription price is demanded at least three months earlier.
All the specifications is stipulated under the title of the newspaper, also these two lines are written under the title:
" This newspaper is free from any official obligation. Those communications which are beneficial for the government and the nation will be accepted by all means and should include the signature of its writer."
Each page of newspaper contains two columns and in each issue the list of contents is printed on the first part of the first column. The name of seuyed HosseinKhan (the founder of newspaper) was added from its 49th issue afterwards.
The second issue of newspaper published on Thursday July 12, 1905 and regarding the list of contents of the aforesaid issue, the Alhadid's subjects were domestic and foreign news and different articles and also the translation of Fatah-ol-Ghsan written by Zeydan which was to be publish in the form of footnote on newspaper, and in some issues it has taken all the 168 pages of newspaper and has changed its form as footnotes. The newspaper was published by good quality by lithography and had the style of writing from its third issue.
It is important to note that this newspaper is also published by name of Hadid in some issues and it was just a change in the name of newspaper and there were no change in any specifications of it. As Tarbiat said, this newspaper was being published until the beginning of proclamation of the Constitutionalism in Tabriz.
